Are there any species of Hibiscus that aren't safe for chams?

Oh no - I appreciate that. I'm just wondering specifically about the Hibiscus Syriacus. Pink and White if it helps.

New Veiled Cham, White spots. Normal shedding or possible fungal infection?

Thanks. I've had reptiles before but chams are terrifying :P They get stressed pretty easy and you can really tell. They have such a vast array of behaviour it's fascinating but also scary when you see them doing something they haven't done before.

New Veiled Cham, White spots. Normal shedding or possible fungal infection?

No real change in the spots. Surely he should have shed by now if that's what it was? e/ also is it me or is he starting to look a little dehydrated. Saw him drinking today but maybe it isn't enough?

    heat range

You don't need a special basking bulb for chameleons. A basic white household bulb will provide the heat they need just fine. You may have to experiment with wattage and placement to get the right temps but a 40 or 60W household bulb is just fine and a hell of a lot cheaper than special 'basking...

All reptiles get a little grumpy around the time they shed. It's an uncomfortable experience. Think of it like reptilian pms.

Spends most of his time inches from UV bulb. Is this a problem or normal behaviour?

Yea maybe... Have recently added some extra foliage but I think I'll get some more with his next food order and see how it affects his behaviour.

Spends most of his time inches from UV bulb. Is this a problem or normal behaviour?

Don't have a camera atm I can use. Have a picture of it when I first got it though. Some big changes took place before I put Yoshi in it though. I researched here a bit and found out a lot needed changing (pet stores suck :( ). The bulbs in the enclosure are no longer used, instead I have a...

Spends most of his time inches from UV bulb. Is this a problem or normal behaviour?

3 month old veiled chameleon. The UV bulb is mounted above the cage and he spends most of his time on the back wall at the top right up against the mesh. I have felt the mesh and it's not hot so the bulb is far enough away that he won't burn himself by staying there. I'm just wondering if this...

    Water safe to drink?

I can't find a way to link directly to it, but if you go to this site - http://waterquality.anglianwater.com/map.aspx , type my postcode in the search box (NR3 1PE) and then clink the link for a full water report to the right of the map it will bring it up in a seperate window. Would really...

    Water safe to drink?

Looking at the water quality report for my area and I can't see anything that could harm my chams. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for? Chlorine is extremely low (<1mg/litre) and Calcium is actually fairly high, which I would think would benefit my cham as opposed to...

New Veiled Cham, White spots. Normal shedding or possible fungal infection?

That's what I was hoping :) After finding out how awful the store bought setup was I've been so stressed and worried by every little thing that he does. It's awful when you think you've been given professional advice only to find out you know nothing at all. I just want him to be happy and...

New Veiled Cham, White spots. Normal shedding or possible fungal infection?

Got my little veiled Yoshi about a week ago now. He's about 3months old. Worried about some dry white spots of skin that have started appearing on his face and body. Here's a pic so you can see what I mean - Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - Veiled, ~3months old Handling - As little as...
