It's frustrating seeing things like this, as pet owners and educated individuals on the care that our reptiles require.
However, what needs to be understood is that these petstores are not in the business of housing and retaining these animals for prolonged periods of time. I'm not condoning...
Females can produce eggs without males, she may need to lay eggs. Try putting a container that's about 10" deep with damp soil/sand mixture.. damp enough your hand can make a tunnel without it caving in. If she starts digging, leave her alone and don't watch her. She's laying eggs.
If she's...
Haha some of the positions they get into for sleep are hilarious. Once when our girl was younger we were looking for her in her cage for about 20 minutes. In the end we found her sleeping holding on to the screen in the top corner of her cage! We were starting to think she escaped or something...
That's exactly the one I was talking about! I figured it might have been something like that as the rest of him/her looked great. I would've loved to take it home with me.. unfortunately don't have the space for it :( lol
We just got one a couple weeks ago and it's fantastic. After messing with the timer for a few days to get it set up the way we want it, we have no problems. Our cham seems to love it too and her urates have been great.
I'd definitely recommend that you get one, especially if you can't be...
We visited a local pet store yesterday and saw a gorgeous Meller's that was probably 6 - 7mths old. It looked great aside from having a bend in its horn (not sure if that's what it's called)
Is this a sign of MBD on these guys or is it possible it's bent for another reason?
Supers are great but you should keep some softer worms that are easier to digest. The description you gave does sound like it was thown up rather than digested improperly.
when you have more of a worry about a cricket shortage than anything else in your day
when you cut in with a chameleon story while others are talking about their children
when you try to convince your boss to let you have a chameleon in your office (decided it wasn't the best idea haha)
She was tiny in the first pic. It was when we first got her, back in February. She's probably getting close to 7 months now. The last pic was taken today.
