ya i h8 it 2 lyke cnt ppl jus type lyke omg
Honestly, it's one of my biggest pet peeves. I'm not going to say I have the best punctuation and grammar but some things should just be second nature!
I hate the excuse "I'm not in school why should I type well?"
Why shouldn't you? Do you write...
Spinach is not a good gut load for crickets because it binds calcium and isn't good for the cham. Instead you should use something like kale or collards. Dandilion greens, sweet/regular potato and carrots are good as well. If you do a search for 'gutload' on here you'll find some really good...
Yeah we actually have to make the holes a little bigger in our females cage as they've gotten plugged once or twice. The screen is a great idea though. Our main concern was feeders escaping so maybe we'll try that.
That's pretty much the same thing we did, aside from covering the holes with screen.
We made a bunch of small holes in the middle of the PVC and the weight of the plant creates enough of a slope for the water to run through the holes into a bucket under the cage.
We're both crazy about them.
He had owned some females in the past, as well as a bunch of iguanas.. so I have to say he influenced my love for chameleons. I haven't spent this much time learning about something specific in ages and it's amazing.
If he's mostly darker in the morning it could be because he's a bit cold and hasn't warmed up enough yet.
What are your ambient temperatures over-night? How do you measure the temps in your enclosure?
Chameleons don't have ears so you don't really have to worry about the noise. They can, however, sense vibrations so if the construction is rattling the cage or something it might be an issue.
How long have you had your chameleon for? Sometimes it can take them a little while to adjust to...
Sometimes small parts of the shed can take a while to come off completely.
You can try giving him a 'shower'. Put him on a plant in the tub and aim the spray off the wall so it mists onto him. Make sure the water is warm.
This should help if he's got some stubborn shed left on him.
I've...
I agree with both of these references.
Both of our chams are from Harry at ChromaChameleons. He's fantastic and really helpful. We don't have any from Cham Nation but we have spent time at their booth at prior expos and they have some really nice chams as well.
It's going to be hard not to...
Haha how old is Charlie? I remember seeing pics of him before his colours came out and he's really turned into a handsome cham! It seems like the time has been flying by since we got Delilah at 3 or 4mths in February. She's so big now!
Thanks for all the compliments guys! Delilah is tickled 'pink' with all the praise but Rusty's getting a bit fired up.. Careful, he might get jealous!
These two will definitely produce some stunning babies if we breed them.
I'd probably be a bit wary about feeding my cham crickets that may have eaten styrofoam.
You should use egg cartons and other cardboard instead in your cricket tank. They love hiding in the egg cartons.
Letting them go outside shouldn't pose a problem, although I'm not sure if they'd be bad...
