Is there a way out there for cham breeders to document their animals bloodlines? When selling, they will say it - who's sire is what, dam's sire and so on. Shouldn't there be some kind of registry, ie TICA for cats and APHA or AQHA for horses? Could be something like ICC - International...

Just start out with taking photos, and play with your settings. Take notes about the results you get with different shutter speed and aperture settings. Oh, and read the manual ;)

I also use Canon - I have 3 bodies, 40D, 50D and 7D. I use all L series lenses, which is their professional line. The Rebel series are the best to start off with. The best advice I give everyone is this... with how fast technology moves, don't spend a ton of money on a body. Spend your money...
