How do you know when chameleon is dehydrated?

If it a yellowy orange colour it means he is a bit dehydrated. The urates should be white. How long do you mist for?

3rd one this week please help baby vielled

Her poop should be brown and white. The white part is the urates, if it is yellow it means she is dehydrated. I have a suggestion with providing her with water if she is drinking from a dripper that is great (mine won't) maybe try and make her a bigger one so she can drink when she wants. From...

At what age do VC start getting their adult colors

My little guy is nearly 6 months old and his stripes came through about 4 and a half months and last shed he got his blue spots. I love it when he sheds as I like to see what he is going to look like.

    Worried about our baby

That is good news. I am sure she has been moving around her enclosure when you are not there. They can be sneaky like that lol. Good luck with your new chameleon. She is very cute :)

I think it is cute when they just have their feet to go as it looks like they are wearing socks. I like to see how they have changed after a shed.

    2nd shed finally

Oh bless him. I think they always look so grumpy when they shed. I have a young veiled and so far he has added a week on his sheds each time so 2nd one was 3 weeks later then the 3rd one was 4 weeks after the second if that makes sense. I hope he sheds ok and feels happier afterwards. I love it...

    Veiled not eating and shedding.

I wouldn't shower your chameleon as he seems too small. I think he will need to be six months or over (please someone correct me if I am wrong). I would just increase the length of his mistings. Also warm water might help loosen the skin. He might not be eating very much as he is shedding but...

Help please! Nervous red-bar chameleon; can't tame. happy but won't come out of cage!

I would leave him to settle for a few days just feed and water him. Then you can start to hand feed him that way he will associate your hand with something good. I would take it slow though to build up trust and not to stress him out too much.

    Behaving odd

I don't really handle him. I really need to start hand feeding him but I am squeamish about holding the insects. I have tried tweezers and he flared up at them.
