    I've gone plant crazy

I too find myself realating plants to my Cham. I have three plants in the enclosure now. the outside has four. I just saw this bambo plant it was soo cool. does any one know the toxicity of bambo? cause it was like a jungle-jim. many different size long tubular limbs, with growth on the ends.

    Question about plants

I have found some plants do better. my reptile room has become a plant rescue room. a week or two in the mist and light and they usualy perk up. I personaly use "arboria-cola" in my enclosures. rocks a the bottom of the pot around the drain hole also help keep plant properly drained.

    chameleon pawing at munchy cup

I would say hungry, I have decided he pays no attention to cup unless he is hungry. sometimes i put in cup he hangs out above and watches crickets. most of the time he comes only when cup is filled. you might want to give your cham 1 more cricket each feeding progressively till you find a point...

Made a new aluminum screen cage

Sweet cage. I used same screen. exept I backed mine with 1/8th in screen. i put in dowels to space out mesh and screen. my cham loves to climb and roam. at first his feet would snag, so i spaced screen and mesh about 1/4 in. still keeps in crickets. I had to down size my bask light the 2 layers...

    A Waterfall Inside Your Setup

They are right, my cham poops in the water catch system for my dripper like it was a toilet. I removed it and put in plastic liner and drainage. i never caught him drinking out of it, but you shoulnd't chance it. drinking off leaves is the natural method. drippers are easy to make. my first was...

    lighting ?

From other post I have read they dont recomend compacts. The most recomended is the reptisun 5.0. I personaly use a mega-ray on timer set to go on for 4 hours 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you use a merc vapour you have to keep it at least 12"-15"in away mine is 20" in from his bask spot. they are...

    chameleon pawing at munchy cup

I use two cups one with holes for water to escape that is attached to cage. second cup i put 8-10 crickets in then put into other cup attached to enclosure. Morken usauly comes running and eats them within seconds. then i remove second cup and clean. I do this twice per day. 18-32 oz will hold...

    Watering scheduele with a dripper

The new cage i built has plastic tub for bottom with drainage. I let my little dripper go 24-7, at about 1.5 drops per second. that uses the entire capacity so i have to refill every day. there is a pic posted but i dont know if you can see bottom. The plastic tub also slides out for easy cleaning.

I moved Morken to his new home this weekend. 36x48x24 as comared to his youth enclosure, 36x18x18. he has been roaming ever since. I also had to up his cricket count, guess he is burning more energy. I worried about his dull color before move. when i coaxed him out of old cage he turned bright...

    cage cleaner

It is an enzymic, it contains no active chemicals. But I will trust your judgment. I have a portable clothing steamer. Is that allright?

    favorite: Panther vs Veiled

man, that is a fantastic veiled. I love the gaping mouth. agression in veileds is, in my opinion, a sign a great health. my "monkey" was a scaredy cat till he got healthy. now he hisses and gapes at everyone but me. It looks sweet when he fills his body with air. if it were'nt for silkies he...

    cage cleaner

I have a product called healthy habitat. I am wondering if anyone knows about it, and is it safe? I says it is all organic and non toxic. But i dont trust lables. I won't use it till I am certain it is safe. Morken's life is far more important. If it is bad, what is a good product?
