I agree with Carol. Way too much if you are all of those supplements. All in one is fine. Try putting him in a luke warm shower. Not too warm. Get him some silkworms and hornworms. That will def help with hydration.
He may be... But you never know. One of my males was a slow grower and didn't look anything like his lineage until hit about 20 months and them bam he started turning it up and now he is one of my favorites and looks a lot like his dad. Ya never know.
Well... we got a new little Nosy Be male that we have high hopes for. Hoping to add to our Nosy Lines. This little guy drinks and eats like it is going out of style.
A pic of his first day with us a week and a half ago. He is almost 3 months hatch date 4-21, 5-5-12
Enjoy...
Thanks SG... He is going to be an awesome breeder.
Thanks.. He is from the Kammers and his site is "Sunfire"
Thanks Bemus... Your guy is all lit up in that pic. He doesn't seem to have the red lines outlining his bars like mine. Subtle differences. He is awesome. You can tell that they...
Considering that these little guys are shipped across country as long as he needs are met, temps etc... It's always easier to have someone stop in to feed and water
I would say vet visit, already stated. It's not unusual for them to not "go" for a day or two. You could try a warm mist shower. This could stimulate him. But as said before impaction or a prolpase is a real danger.
Thanks! He is def a little stud.
Well for starters I have been finding sperm plugs since he was 4 months. He is the only Cham that has actually charged across his enclosure and bitten me. Wasnt even near him. He will flash his turrets and head bob for 2 days if he sees a female.
Wow...
Thanks Rob! He is the first "Sunfire" male that made it out there. This guy was the size of a 3 month old at 2 months when I got him. Kind of reminds of your George.
Thanks... I think so too. I know for sure he will breed. Have an awesome female for this guy.
This guy is as feisty as they come. His reds are starting to really kick in now.
He is now about 5 months old and has been bobbing at females since about 4 1/2 months. Never seen anything quite like it.
Let me know what you all think.
#3 pic is from a few weeks ago.
If the dripper is running all day I would, IMO, give him an extra mist or two. Some chams are shy about drinking, but they do drink. Rep cal plain calcium would be fine.
Everything looks good to me. They always tend to have a funk, is what I call it, around that age. Keep offering crickets and maybe switch up his gutloads. I use three. Cricket crack, bug burger and my own recipe. Sometimes this can spark his hunger again. When I do offer other feeders (silks...
Calcium plus is a great product. But with the gular I would get just a plain calcium. Reptivite is a mineral and vitamin. Again, this is just what I did and I only have had the one experience with it.
I agree.. Definitely read Dave's findings. But I had this with one of males once and went to just using plain calcium for 7-10 days, Nothing else. This is just want I did and it went away pretty quick. A vet visit may be in order.
