Many people utilize exo terra for the first young weeks to maybe a month for chameleons.
But, it really depends on what species we are talking about.
What type of chameleon do you have?
You never know with WC, when I received my pygmies I administered a TINY drop of reptiaid, they seemed to improve right after that treatment.
But, you never know what they have.

Actually I have a rather large bearded Pygmy , that loved worms, but I limited the worms , the little one was eating a pinhead cricket, which jumped into the mealworms dish.
But, don't worry about him, he is now in a 10 gallon with another female his size, oh and no mealworms for...
Mine are doing good in their temp tank, but depending on the size of your pygmys ,case jake, and the size of their home, depends. Just don't keep two males together!
