WOW lots of great comments, I just bought some raptor. I have a female vieled so obviosly wont get a pic like jon rich but she has been looking a little drab lately..anyone try it on a female vieled with any results?
Some of you know Bindi by now..following her egg laying dilema but shes all better!
Here is her new Terrarium and yes i am going to cover the substrate tonight. I am setting up a Big Dripper, she has already shown interest and drank from it.
Let me know your thoughts, sorry the pic might...
All is wellwith Bindi!
Well Bindi ended up laying all her eggs yesterday after a small dose of Oxy..The eggs were like little jelly beans (34 of them) and some had gotten to the point of shriveling up a bit. Its probably good we did what we did, when we did it.
What a relief! I slept better...
EEEGGGSSS!!Finally!
:DThe doctor just called and she is laying her eggs, a very small dose of Oxy did the trick!!!!!! We are so happy!!! thank you all for your support and help and i will let you know when she is home safe and sound!:D
Kinyonga-Shes at the vet now. he gave her some fluids and the ridge seemed to look a little better. I think she is dehydrated from the eggs, etc. I will try to get you a better pic later if i can, or enlarge this one.
Thank you hollie and sarah
update today-she has gone 3 weeks from her...
thank you eliz..i tried but my photos are messing up. i think it has to do with dehydration as well. She is at the vet in good hands now. Finally decided to try OXY..Wish us well. ill update on my breeding post for all those who have been involved.
Please read Bindi has eggs in breeding for more info but can anyone recognize this, and does it maybe have something to do with Bindi'd delayed egg laying? it seems to have gotten worse lately. overall she eats, and is healthy/active
i have noticed since she has been with eggs and even more recently there are bumps/ridges along her back. any ideas or is this tied to why she hasnt laid yet? is this dehydration?
Laurie-thanks for the help and putting me in touch with ferret! Ill have no hair left if it keeps going this way!
Ferret-Thank you, I think I will give her a few more days with her new dirt soil mix that i did a few days ago...she does have a comfy home in her bin and I am ultra careful about...
well its almost another week..well once the weekend gets here. she is eating, drinking and overall active/healthy. she just roams in circles in her bin. no digging that i have seen..
any thoughts?
