Say hello to my little friend...

I would give him a day or so with minimal contact. He just got shipped and put into a new enviroment so he is most likely apprehensive about his surroundings. He will eat when he is ready (offer it to him but don't try to force it on him) but with any new reptile it takes a little time for...

    Lighting for a Jackson's Cham

I got mine from Light Your Reptiles on the forums. Todd is great and will help you set up everything to your needs. Arcadia are also a great brand. Send him a PM on the forums or just head over to his sight on the sponsers page, you won't be dissappointed!!

    my new jacksons

Great looking Jackson! I love mine. He has such a great personality. With any new animal it will take him some time to get used to his new home. Mine and from what I can see of the forums are mostly bright green with some yellow and teal when they fire up. Mine really gets bright when I...

    Looking for cage.

Good advice. I think making your own cage like this is awesome since you decide what it is gonna look like. Also, if you don't have the tools to cut the wood then you can always get Lowes to cut them to size. If you have a friend with a finishing nail gun it makes it 20 times faster! Also, I...

    What is this?

Yeah, I have a mist king set up in my cage for about 2 years now. It works great since i can't always be there to hand mist. I also use a dripper too to make sure they stay hydrated. If you decided on a misting system though I would make sure you have a good drainage system as the water will...

    Finally Here!

Wow, he looks like he is a really lucky cham! Love the name also, being a Greek mythlogical man myself! If you have only had him for a couple days I would just let him roam around with minimal contact so he gets time to get used to his surroundings. Maybe after that you can try to hand...

The difference between Ambato and Ambanja.

No fires here! I just think that the subject needs a little more research before it can be called an ambanja or ambato. I was trying to do some research on the interwebs but it seems like most of the information that google can bring up is from threads like this where it comes down to a...

    panther chameleon problem

From what I have read on the forums you might have a female rather than a make if he/she is digging in a clear container. (Why is it in there?) The second part I bolded was about the waterfall. From what I have read they normally don't drink from them but mine drinks from a dripper which...

    Looking for cage.

I gotta say that I found a lot of inspration with my cage in the enclosure forum. You can always buy a premade one but when you have a perfect custom made one for your little guy it will make you feel so good! I got a 48x18x18 cage for my jackson and he loves it! He crawls all over the place!

The difference between Ambato and Ambanja.

Looking at the link you provided with and comparing it the the ambanja it looks to me like it is indeed an ambanja. Maybe like another poster said that the breed line got mixed but look at the one you provided and the ambanja. Ambanja...

He is a Jackson. Getting some pics together and I am gonna try to post them soon. I think as a junior member not all my posts go through. Thanks! Glad to be apart of the community! I love your blogs on the silks and hornworms. I haven't tried to breed any yet but I might be gearing...

Anybody else have a cham who isn't shy to doze off ?

I think this is awesome. My cham will also snuggle up on me if I let him. There was a thread earlier about viels and people sterotyping them so I doubt you have to worry about it! I think if you just handle your cham more and have him from a baby they will feel very comfortable with you. Its...

    Blue LED lights worth it?

Yeah I would just make sure they don't run at night. If your cham enclosure is in a low light spot I can see how the extra lights would help but if anything they are just for looks. Everyone has different prefereances for their stuff! Got Pics?

Long time reader first time signing up!

Hey guys, mine name is Jose and I have been all of your forums for about a year trying to learn as much as I can for my own cham Loco and hopefully a future cham also! (Sorry if my English is bad as it is not my first langangue.) Hopefully I can help and also get help in the future. Love...

Jeez you posted SO many pictures! Wow, he looks AWFUL! It's so great that they look so bad before they come out with even more colors!

Veil Chams have such a bad reputation !!!

Like the previous posters said I think part of the reason is that they are such a common breed of cham that more people talk about them. With any animal, I beleive, that at like 75% of it is up bringing. If you have them from a baby and let them grow up with you they will behave different...

new jacksons cham owner - my enclosure

I think it looks really good! Nice and high and a lot of foliage for him to hide in. Do you have some kind of dripper set up for him behind those lights or are you misting him through out the day? I know my jackson drinks from a dripper but he also is on an automated misting system.
