I got my male Jackson at a expo in Indianapolis. He will probally take a few days to settle in and start eating/drinking. Give him some time and space. I feed my guy from a feeder that I made from a water bottle. Got the idea from this forum, will try to post a photo shortly. He now eats...
Looks good, enjoy Mexico, it's a great vacation spot. Your English is much better than anyone's Dutch I'm sure. I love holland, spent some time their when I was in the army. Nijmegen and Amsterdam, beautiful country. Have fun with your Cham.
We could always use a good biologist on a forum like this. Your hobby could help spurn your hobby into a career? Best of luck, have fun in college, a great time in most peoples life.
Thanks for the feedback. I am going to find out where they get their bugs from. I have never seen crickets at a Walmart! What part of the country is that guy from?
I was wondering what people think. Are farm raised crickets all the same? They are way cheaper at the bait shop than pet stores or mail order. I would be taking them home to gut load so is this ok? Would be the most convenient spot to get them in bulk for many people. Has anyone else tried this?
The main thing to keep in mind that if it is old enough it may arrive to you with babies in the oven. Other than that, just treat like a regular Jackson's. Do you have the lizard already? Love to see pictures of fellow Jackson's.
Instead of paper towels you might want to try a commercial roll of paper? You can get them at craft stores and big box hardware stores. Would be cheaper I think. Love the cage, wish I had your skills.
Where in Florida do they have viable wild populations. I have family in the sunshine state and I would love to photograph some in the wild. What about other states? Hawaii I know, other than that don't know any other strong wild populations. I do find it amazing when I see species of animals...
Love the size and look. Looks like furniture, which I like. Function and style, great job, best looking cage I have seen in awhile. You could probally sell these?
I started with a compact 5.0 but I since switched to a linear bulb. The thing I noticed was how much more active my boy got after the switch, might be a fluke but my boy is eating, drinking, and exploring like a mad man now.
I have read about a lot of people using this for their Chams and was wondering how a adult male Jackson would do on this supplement? It seems like it would be easier to have everything in one but I know that Jackson's can be a little funky with supplements so I wanted to get some feedback before...
I think the cams need to much h2o! You could do it but would still need to move some of the water. Would look really cool. Good luck if you try it, keep us posted.
I am trying to offer my Jackson some Super Worms but they get away before he can get to them! He won't eat from a cup but he does eat crickets from a hanging feeder (supers don't work in this) that I got the idea from on here. Not sure how to mount a shallow bowl that will keep the worms in so...
