Alright, sounds good then. :) I wouldn't raise the UVB or anything since it's not a compact fluorescent. I'd ask how old that UVB is though. They're only good for 6 months or so before they start loosing their output and need to be replaced.
Am I the only one who noticed that there's nothing covering the soil around those plants? Fertilizer or not, it could turn into a major issue if substrate is consumed. I'd put some LARGE pebbles/smooth rocks on it, or better yet some wire mesh over top with a hole cut just big enough for the...
I'd suggest one. Even spraying with a spray bottle frequently has the same effect. If your cham is having good sheds with no stuck does, and doesn't look dehydrated, you're probably doing it right.
Switch to Dubia roaches if you don't have a roach allergy. No smell, much healthier and meatier than crickets, and are super easy to breed as they don't require humidity or substrate and they completely consume all dead ones. My bin smells of oranges because I give them fresh fruits daily...
Colombia SC is doing a pretty big show on March 10th and 11th. I know it's further than you listed, but it's worth it. And there's venomous there too. :D
They're probably fungus gnats. Completely harmless and a free food source for baby chams, but quite annoying as well. I get them in my Avicularia versicolor cage if I let it get too moist for too long.
I will be purchasing a male panther in Colombia SC on March 10th-11th. :) This is all helping me out a lot. Thanks guys! Oh, would it be a reasonable request to buy an animal and ask the vendor to keep it for me until the end of the show?
I won't be purchasing a repti-breeze as I've heard many bad things about them. I'm probably going to go for the more economical and less visually pleasing reptarium. Have you ever seen these sold at a show before?
Nowhere within 100 miles carries any screen cages aside from crappy repti-breeze cages, and even those are $99 and aren't big enough for a large juvenile.... And I think I'm going to skip the small cage and go straight for the 2x2x4 since in the wild they certainly have more space than that...
www.reptipro.com makes an updated version with a much stronger, recessed fan for more even temperature distribution. Mine is in the mail and will be here in two days. I'll let you guys know how it does. I'll be using it for my leopard geckos which will be laying any day now.
Hey, I'm attending the Colombia SC repticon show on March 10th-11th. I'm 99 percent sure I'll be purchasing a panther cham there, but I don't know if I should assume I will and then spend all the money now and get it all set up only to find something else at the show I want more. Do shows...
I like large egg flats better. Pretty much any exotic invert website carries them. Try www.gregsexoticinverts.com
That's who I got my entire set-up from.
