The giant Potho is the one the left and a smaller one with another live vine plant under it on the right. I like the ficus but hate the leaf drop. Cyrus loves the giant pothos and it is very easy to maintain. Fills his 48 inch cage and still growing.
I use giant pothos as the base and I line the upper and some of the side with fake for all 8 of mine. The fakes definitely help and I have not had any adverse affects with the. Actually it helps my cham as the cricks will climb up to them and the cham follows. Also helps spread my aqua zamp mist...
I thought by putting 15 to 20 in they would get full and stop eating. But they just keep hunting. Their ages range from 2 years my oldest the rest are a year down to the youngest at 4 months. I do give them criks of appropriate size for their size. Now I do have 2 of them that will just eat 8, 9...
OK so I have 8 chams and i get tired of dumping criks everyday. Is there a way to at least do it every other? Most of the chams if I give them 15 20 they eat all of them within hours. I also hand feed the bigger ones s/worms anywhere from 3 to 6 a day. I will keep feeding (and not overfeeding)...
I have seen a post of places to order crick/worms online and have them delivered monthly. Does anyone know of any good places where you have had a good experience? I live in Maryland so would not want to order from California.
The all glass cage is cooking him. You should try and move to a screened cage. These little guys are not native to tropical places they are are from the Yemen/UAE area and the climate there is a lot different. And technically there is little but important differences between caring for the...
MSAquatics you probably also have some wood working skills to go along with it. When you build your own you worry about crafting everything just right as well which is pretty easy until you get crickets creeping in to unexpected corners. Just saying it might not be so bad to buy the cages. I got...
This is funny because I just had the same problem with building mine 6ft tall 4 ft wide. Your food will get through. Screen is the only way to prevent that unless you want to introduce cup feeding instead of free range. I hated moving Cyrus to the cup because I had the same problem.
Unfortunately I have my set up in the basement. Its good help with humidity but wish there was more natural sunlight although there is some. Our sump pump is in a little enclosure in our basement. I cut a hole on each side of the enclosure and ran my run off in to the sump pump which drains it...
I totally agree with the 200 watts. My heat light is 50w halogen which is kept a little off the cage. Thanks for the plant input keep it coming if you have more info
You dont wat to keep heat in. Let the air flow freely. Just give him or her a place in the cage where the light can keep him warm. He eill go to that spot when he wants it. Just make sure its a good bit away so were not eating lizard. I am having a silimar problem with plants right now. I just...
I believe the reptibreezes have screen bottoms. I that is the case build a nice wood stand with a good size drainage tube. I use the aquazamp rain domes so my drainage is more controlled or easier to control.
Hey everyone I am new to here. I am a recovering drug addict, alcoholic and now I am a chameleon addict!!! I am not sure which was cheaper. My wife wants to leave me for all three! J/K. I was given a pretty nice setup from someone who moved and have been filling up my cages! I want to give...
