What brand. Lol!
You should put your first picture into the photo contest! I bet it would win! SO CUTE!!! :p :)
The whole head sticking out and then not sticking out seems normal. I had one that did this and I was really worried. I checked in on it constantly! It was one that took...
I personally took mine out whenever I saw they were out of the egg. (I left the egg shell in the container) All 17 are doing great! :D Maybe that is the reason why I have 2 eggs waiting to be hatched 2 months after the first one came out. :o (Apparently leaving the babies in with the eggs causes...
I found an egg sack right outside my window and put it in a cage. It's been there about 1-2 months. The praying mantis babies have exploded everywhere!! I don't know what to do with so many!! Is it safe to feed 1-2 month old baby chameleon babies? How about my adult chameleons?
I ended up buying 2 fruit fly cultures from timberline too. There was one jar with 50% off (only $5!) as it was made just before march which was great because its producing and has a lot of flies in it. I got an extra one just incase. Hoping to see 2000 in both. :D
I tried petsmart first as...
Might have to go with the fruit flies from petco. The Essex petstore doesn't haw any pinheads in stock and another petstore, they have small crickets at 12 for $1, it sounded like they weren't going to be tiny enough.
Do the containers at petco say 500 ct? I called a petco and the employee said...
I didn't rotate my fruit fly cultures enough and now I'm down to about 100 fruit flies total out of 9 containers and I used the last of my tiny crickets :( I have 2 producing cultures that will be a while before the fruit flies even pupae.
anyone know any stores that sell crickets or more...
I don't know if he's alive. I think I might have choked him to death with the fruit fly. :( He had his mouth open wide, he usually has it closed. I don't see any nose holes on him.. I think he uses his throat to breath, he wouldn't swallow the fly on his own.
He was very active and climbing up...
I can try that. The egg looks to be collapsing in on the sack (I think it's the sack), almost pinching it. He's still pretty active. He'll walk around and stumble on the egg constantly, give up for a little and then he tries again.
I cut inside the egg, trying to free the little thing, there is...
He's still stuck to the egg, trying to get away from it. I left him outside of the egg bin for the night and it seems the egg got hard. Probably was a bad idea.
Since he's fully out of the egg with just his sack stuck to the egg, wouldn't his eyes have opened already if he was able to?
His tail is finally out but he seems to have his sack stuck in the egg. Its a thick red line and white and it may be attached to the egg. I hope its not organs.
Hes trying his hardest to remove himself from the egg. I cut the egg open a little to see in it better.. There is a lot of tissue...
One of his back feet looks like an elf's shoe. It hooks up. :(
Im wondering if this was caused from the several times i knocked the egg bin by accident. Hes almost out of his egg. Just the tail left. Hoping to see his eyes open. He squinted them once. I have hope.
Found this baby today. My 13th one to hatch. I was really hoping to not see any deformed babies Its breathing in heavily every few minutes with a snap sound from within. I can't imagine how it could survive with the upper jaw exposed.. He was a nice light color when I first pulled him out of the...
I love my new feeder. I tried it with my blue panther chameleon for a day and he didn't seem too interested. (I rarely see him eat anyways!) So I put it in my female panther chameleons cage with superworms in the cup. Worked great. She went straight for them. No more loose superworms at the...
