    Nice Surprise..

I got my first ever chameleon a month ago, I think he was two months of age, so by now he is 3 months. My girlfriend just flew in from april 1st - 11th and we stayed at a hotel. I stopped by to feed my chameleon and tegu, i took Finnick out and he was his usual grey self. I recently rescued a...

Help with rescued female Jackson chameleon

I feel bad for most of the reptiles they keep there. Tarantulas they do okay, pythons and corn snakes they are okay, their fish tanks are actually very well cleaned, but they need to do research on their tortoise and chameleon care in particular. I know that these are not permanent homes and...

Help with rescued female Jackson chameleon

Yep :D well, I'm sure she isn't from sioux falls, but thats where she ended up. I live in sioux falls and we got her at the petsmart here. We actually took her to the vet on our own and the doctor told me all expenses were covered by petsmart. It really shocked me, but it made me respect them...

Help with rescued female Jackson chameleon

*UPDATE* I was leaning towards her eye just being bruised, and turns out we took her to the vet and he said its bruised as well. He gave us some ointment to put on her eye to help it heal. So far she's doing great. Eating like normal, getting hydrated again, i just finished her cage as well

Help with rescued female Jackson chameleon

I was at the petstore today buying crickets for my male panther baby chameleon. As i was on my way out i looked at the reptiles quick and saw a female jacksons in a way to small cage. After looking at her farther I noticed an eye issue, and multiple burns. The biggest is a burn on her stomach...

    Poor chameleons at reptile store

Trust me i am well aware they neglect reptiles. Tortoises are rarely kept proper.. I see aboreal tarantulas in terrestrial set ups, i see birds that are missing feathers. 3 adult guineapigs shoved into a 20 gallon tank. Its more than just chameleons. I am in no way trying to stand up for...

    Poor chameleons at reptile store

You have to keep in mind that petstores move animals, they are only temporary homes they arent meant to be 'forever' cages. They supply minimum care at times but they arent going to waste a bunch of money for the perfect setups. It is wrong of course to the animals, the one thing you can do is...

    Chameleon Diet

I am aware of how to feed chameleons, all different methods, dusting the food, gut loading crickets, the whole thing. My question is that my chameleon rarely eats crickets. I got Finnick last Friday. He has eaten maybe 5-7 crickets since he's been in my care ( a week ). I'm kind of wondering...

    Critique new owner enclosure

My argentine tegu's name is Cato, and seeing as I am a big fan of the hunger games books I wanted to stick to my reptile names being hunger games characters, so I chose Finnick for my chameleon :)

the screen cages have nothing compared to spending a couple hundred dollars building a giant custom cage for my tegu :D

    Critique new owner enclosure

I can see that maybe the chameleon seems large in the picture, he's actually very tiny ( for the moment:D) I would say his body is possibly 2 inches, I understand they grow fast, but he would be completely lost in a 4 foot cage :D The cage is only the small size reptibreeze but its pretty good...

    Critique new owner enclosure

I am new to the world of chameleons and just got my new ambilobe panther chameleon Finnick, on friday. The cage was majorly delayed and didn't show up until today, I had a temporary cage set up for him and things were basic, a heat lamp, a couple plants, and vines. Below I've added some...

    Introduction.

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum as well as new to chameleons. I just got my first chameleon today, a baby ambilobe sired by Hendrix from a site sponsor, Panther Company. My first and only other lizard I have is an argentine tegu named Cato, who is 8 months old now and about 40 inches. Two...
