My cham does that sometimes too, I think it’s just them trying to get it all the way down because the crickets I feed my chameleon fit well in his mouth, but sometimes he puffs his gullet up after he eats them. I’m not 100% sure on that though.
I’ll send a picture when I get home, I’ve kept panthers for years but never a veiled so I decided to give it a try. I’ve also never had a baby before too so it’s a learning experience for me. On top of that it’s my first female😬
They’re as small as I can get and I know she’ll eat them because that’s I what the store fed her. And the temperature is 9-95 on her branch where she basks. I do have a bowl in there for greens, and I put a Bowl for the crickets but I haven’t seen her eat out of it all day.
