    Bamboo

While we're on the subject, can you grow wild bamboo indoors? As in, do you swap them out like hibiscus or are the inside of the cage ideal specs for wild bamboo? Thinking of getting some to compliment my benjamin ficus.

    Sheflera

You probably mean fertilizer as medicine. What people suggest when you introduce a new plant is to wash the plant leaves with a mild soap, making sure you rinse it properly afterwards to get any pesticide off. Make sure ALL the soap is off too. Next you can re-pot/re-soil (take out the soil and...

Thoughts upon Crickets and other stuff

Sorry about your car, and great cage! Really love the Buddha statue, I plan on having stone statues in my guy's enclosure in the future. Just a warning, do not leave adult crickets in the cage over night. They can chew on your chameleon at night and your chameleon will not wake, thus large...

    Need to Vent a little...

Good to go, shouldn't you be receiving money on top of the tuition? Good news is your sacrifice now will pay off later. With his veteran points on top of his experience/education he shouldn't have a problem getting a good job out of the gates.

I hope those ootheca hatch, not all do.

Thoughts upon Crickets and other stuff

Problem isn't that they don't like them, its that its a choking hazard and if left in the cage over night will take bites out of your chameleon while it sleeps. If I were you I'd just go to the pet store and try to swap some out for smaller ones.

Thoughts upon Crickets and other stuff

Well a couple things... first off, welcome to the forum! It's full of rich knowledge that I for one would have been lost without. What is your schedule for dusting? Do you not have plain calcium dusting? The experienced keepers recommend light dusting of regular calcium NO d3 every...

    Stuck in a pickle

I would go with roaches, easier to breed. Depending on what you have to spend though crickets may be the best choice.

what do you feed your dubias?

The dog food bit seems unnecessary. Why risk giving your chameleons a illness when its just as easy to use more of everything else your using.

    Dubia lower temp limits

sell off half your colony, would probably rake in 500+ depending on the size and your prices. I'd do craigslist first, 150 mixed for 15$ us about average. Just go male heavy when counting.

    Phoenix

I'm down in Tucson, if I drove up to Phoenix I'd have to separate time with family/friends so I'd likely just drop by depending on the meeting.

What happens if humidity stays too low?

For Veileds I hear as long as you mist 2-3 times a day with warm water it should be fine. Unfortunately out in the desert myself this only raises my humidity for about an hour. Unless I shell out 200+ for a misting system I'm out of luck.

What happens if humidity stays too low?

I've heard different sides to this. As long as they are hydrated I've heard its not a real issue. Upping mistings during sheddings, etc.

    Over feeding super worms?

What he said. Gotta remember, its customer service. They are going to smile, nod and usually wait for you to speak and give them information to go on. Example: "So if its cold what should I do? Just get a nocturnal light?" "Yeah, and we have a great one right here!" Chain stores...

    Weird Roach?

The kids at Petco I used to work for used to ask their parents if they could keep the albino crickets rather then feeding them off. I usually try to feed off the freshly molted to aid the digestive tract.

    Fogger or mister

Drainage is easy, raindome or mistkings are the best on the market for your situation. Is the wood treated? Make sure you set your timers with enough time for everything to completely dry out, to combat mold. Drainage: Get a hollow stand/ table drill holes in the bottom of both. Lift...

what chameleon species have character/ personality?

I have to google at least once every post you make. I don't mind too much cause I love checking out the amazing species you know of that I never even knew existed.. However back on the subject, I've only owned one chameleon in my life and that is a Male Veiled- of which I have not seen...

Intrusion of roaches or a colony of roaches

Same, I never get to even see the white baby clusters. Saw an ootheca only once, and it some how exploded and killed the female.
