Cyndi
Anyone else have a long successful hatch rate? What's the average hatch rate? Anyone want to share info on hatching their panthers?
What about also, Ankaramy "pink panthers"? Do they need to be treated any different than the more common locals??
You can try getting another plant, when one plant gets too wet, switch the plants out so you give the soil time to dry. This'll prevent the roots from rotting from too much water as well. It may be your cham is looking for extra water. This could also cut back on the gnats as well :)
I'm curious to see how long the longest successful incubation time has been for panther chameleons. What has been your personal experiences, if you don't mind sharing, I'd appreciate it. We have eggs that are 13 months old and still show no signs of life, nor do they look bad either though. I'm...
Update on the cricket situation
:DHere it is a few days into having my crickets and,
NO DIE OFFS!!!!This makes me happy!! Even with the
extra screen, all my crickets are looking very healthy!!
Thanks for all the help everyone has been, looks like we're
changing where we're getting our...
Thanks guys for all your help. I'm getting my crickets today
(hopefully, they should have been here by now). For now,
I'm going to put them in the 10 gal. tanks since I have 8 of
them!! I'm just going to put ~500 per tank.
I never thought about the humidity inside the tank,
though...
Here's some pictures of the bottom of the tank,
after I removed the food water and egg cartons.
I just cleaned the tanks yesterday. I don't think
the temps are to high, the humidity in the room is
about 40%. I'm not sure if that's too hight or not...
The crickets are shipped over...
:confused:I keep my crickets in 10 gal. tanks,
I clean the tanks every other day, as well as change
the water and food. They are in a stable dry warm room
78-82 degrees.
Lately, they've been dying off like crazy!
The only thing I've done differently in the last 6 months,
is change...
Wow!!!!
Now that is a stunning cage.
How much would you and your Dad charge for a cage like that for local pick up???
Not sure where you are but it would be worth the drive and a U-HAUL rental fee to pick one up, IMHO. I think you should go to reptile shows and sell those beauties.
I agree with Dean. Cross breeding locals is not a good thing in my
opinion.I would not do that myself.
With Ambilobes, red bars and blue bars are just a pert of the
whole ambilobe local. There have been some instances where
people have had a blue bar, and it changed over time to be a red...
I'm sorry if you're getting confused....
Let's try it this way. Back to somple genetics.
Take people for example: Just because two people
have different color eyes, doesn't make them a different
"morph". A blue eyed person is just the same as a brown eyed
person. If two people with blue...
