When you say the urates shouldn't be yellow or orange. Is this the whole urate or just the tip of it?

I think it does depend on the chameleon. Our male veiled chameleon will sleep through most anything. We can doing something in his cage and he wont wake up once. I would just leave it on and check on him a few times in the night to see if it bothers him, other wise you will never know.

My husband and I have a veiled chameleon that is almost 5 months old. We have been feeding him small crickets. When do we need to start feeding him larger crickets? He seems happy and satisfied with what we give him and he's growing and healthy, I was just wondering when we needed to change.

Looks good! I have an Exo-terra stand and was kinda disappointed. They were off on there doors and we had to drill new holes for them. If you pay that much for something you shouldn't have to alter it!
