    Possible Worms?

About one month ago, I noticed a small amount of bright red blood in Hugo’s poo. Rushed him straight to the vets, who said he looked healthy and sent it off to be tested. All was fine with it, so said it was where he had eaten a cricket that may have been a little large. I noticed this morning...

    Amy's Progress!

Hugo knows that I mean food, he just hates me. As soon as i open the cage, he comes charging down hissing, and sometimes goes for me. If he sees me looking at him, he changes colour, and now refuses to hand feed from me. I haven't seen him eating in a while now, but Joe says he sees him eating...

    Amy's Progress!

That's great Tiff! Hugo has really started to hate me, so I am very jealous that you get such 'affectionate' and trusting chameleons. On another note, would you like some waxies to help keep her happy? I am literally swimming in them, so can send you a tub in the post if you want?

    Waxworms

To be honest, it was sheer laziness! The tub i had them in (which was tiny and had a lid with airholes) had loads of sawdust and bee pollen in. I literally just left it (knocked on it's side) for about 3 weeks. I have just taken out 6 moths (and put them in Hugo's cage before realising) and left...

    Waxworms

Just gone to clean out the waxworm tub. Must admit, last time i checked it, there were only cocoons in there, so haven't looked in there for a couple of weeks. Gone to just get the moths and chuck the rest of the stuff out - and they have been breeding. I am shocked! (Don't know why, it's...

    Need help now please

I have seen these on a list of safe plants - is this true that they are toxic? I have one in my cage and my cham will eat some occasionally.

    Beautiful New Hibiscus!

Hugo goes through phases, but he is quite partial to the hibiscus. And the passion flower too. He had some stuck to his top lip the other day. Very funny. I have found that since i have put the plants in the cage, they have all grown really well. Must be the temp and the UV.

My wife found a humming bird

We did something similar last year with a baby wren. She lasted 3 weeks and then went downhill over night. We would take it in turns as to who would have it as it was being fed every 30 mins. I am still upset now, a year later. Tell your wife she did a great job. Very few people will take on the...

    Beautiful New Hibiscus!

Tiff, you always manage to find the best plants! My hibiscus is growing well, but no sign of flowers yet, just lots of very leafy leaves!

When To Cut Back On Feedings?

My male veiled is now 7 months old and gets fed every other day. We alternate between crickets and locusts, and he gets fed 6-8 per feeding. I was under the impression that once they reach 6 months, you need to reduce the feeding times and the amount you feed them.

    Spurs!! Help Please!

It all adds to the fun Tiff! Gives you that little bit of extra knowledge and experience :D

    Spurs!! Help Please!

Does look like there is barring there too, but then again you know my experiences with spurs, barring and casques! Are you able to take 'her' to the vets to get checked out?

    Looking for good foiliage plant?

And a couple more! You can see that he has plenty of places to hide and room to move about!

    Looking for good foiliage plant?

Ok, so taken some more photos, unfortunately they don't show very well how much the passion flower has taken over, which is kinda what this post was about! Included a few of Hugo before he got annoyed with me, and also one of his new plant for when he has his new cage!

What is the cost of breeding veileds?

They are up here, but WoW is probably similar in set up to somewhere like Pets at Home. It's a store, therefore it's about making money and not the animals. I would never use them. In future I will buy direct from a breeder.

    Those darn morphs

They have had these in Europe for several years now, and from what I have read, there haven't been any problems.

    Those darn morphs

I personally like them, but I think it's a case of each to their own. I wouldn't use the word 'freak', just different.

    Looking for good foiliage plant?

I know, we just have to be more careful when misting. It will change when we get a new cage. There are vents on both sides, two at the top and two at the bottom. The air doesn't get stagnant, and we have just removed the heater as it has hardly been used. We have put bamboo in the plants, and...

    Looking for good foiliage plant?

I'll be honest, it cost quite a bit as the pet shop saw us coming!! The cage, including the light fittings etc cost about £450 in total. I am also including in that the things that they sold us that we didn't need, like substrate, plus all the wood that we had to throw out as it wasn't treated...
