You know how you get sun burnt on cloudy days?like say on a cruise, you lay out on a cloudy day? Same way, the sun itself does not always have to be shining on the lizard, some species can't take the heat, so shade is best, but say a veiled.....they would need the full sun for the heat. Now if...
Let me stress, when I contacted him, it was very nice, calm and I just stated the issue that was at hand, then he got defensive and start throwing the ignorant slurs. So I got pissed back. He's a joke.
It's defiantly not a rescue. After speaking to him his exact response was " they live in the same place, so they can live together"....which obviously they don't....then I got livid. How inconsiderate. I know syns reasoning was not for me to do that, but I didn't care, nor did I mention anything...
I sent this guy a text message...(his number is on the crigslist post) cussed him out big time.....how dare he do something like that.....ugh. So inconsiderate.
I don't do anything at night....house doesn't fall lessmthen 50% humidity, even with ac on. Just let the cham sleep, then a new day of misting arrives.
Because of all the buzz surrounding it. I will never trust them until the kinks are absolutely 100% out. I just can't do it. The thought of possible harm....scares me.
Our giant koi pond in the back yard attracts a lot of dragons. One was
6 inches long. It scared me....I've never seen such a big insect in Ohio...it was neon green like that with blue eyes....ugh creepster. But most of them at the pond are baby blue. We give all of them the nickname bob, bob...
Those hoods support swirly compact UVB coiled bulbs.....coiled UVB bulbs cause eye issues in chameleons. Only use linear tube 5.0 bulbs. Reptiglo or reptisun only. And as stated.waterfalls are bacteria breeding grounds....and are not worth it. Take it out.
Chameleons naturally let go of the branch there sleeping on,....free falling to escape the predator when there disturbed at night. You never touch a sleeping chameleon. Let him re coup, I'm not sure what a vet could do at this point. You shocked him no Dout about that....that explains the color...
I wouldn't keep him outside.....the weather is just to much to deal with....and since he may be sick with parasites....dirt eating....just keep him inside and cover those plants. Get em healthy. Then take him outside.
Obviously, cover the dirt with large rocks to stop this, go to vet and get a parasite check, make sure your using multivitamin dust once a month, d3every to weeks and calcium without d3 5 days a week.....vields like the heat, for an adult male the basking spot should be 90 - 95 degrees.
