As usual, gorgeous pictures of them all! Maybe next picture update we can see the WHOLE lot of companions you care for :D
Good to see everybody is nice, healthy and happy though.
I have seen images of Stanley, what a handsome boy he is! I will be happy to keep everyone updated. I have more pictures on the way soon, he is just settling into being in the new enclosure where he actually comes out toward the front so hopefully he will be willing to come out again soon (with...
Thalin is actually elvish for dauntless, I am a huge lord of the rings buff and when he showed that he almost fearless. It just fell into place haha.
Lisa, as Jann said. luvbug and I share that luxury haha. But we have never met so can't say how Squirt is doing xD
Thank you Jann! He really has developed over these past few months, and yes you should! It would be great to see Lottie after her Sx. Not to mention see the runt boys and how they are looking ;3
Alright guys, been a while since I posted but its been pretty busy here, so to make I easy on me I am gonna make this general update thread.
Thalin is one of the great grand babies and is nearing 7 months old (seriously 2 days away!) and lord have I been lucky with him (he is such a sweetie...
25 grams of eggs?! Woah momma, you are still a baby. Dont need to be producing that much and worrying Jann xD
Glad she made it through and is getting better, here is to hoping she wont have another experience like this!
Oh gosh Dez! This is horrible, I saw Tree Candy Chameleons post about it on facebook and my jaw dropped! I like to think those of us who have done business with you and have one of the babies you hatched are hit hard by this fact too.
I hope you find them soon though. I can't imagine the...
Oh Jann! Lottie has quite the belly on her right now haha. But she really is gorgeous, I expect nothing less from such an experienced veiled keeper though :D
Hey guys! Been a good while since I posted, and what better way to get back into it then some updated photos of my grand, Thalin. Hard to believe these babies are gonna be 7 months in a few weeks!
And some from today's first shower!
Thank you for the response! He is still too young for the moths being as young as he is. One of the great grands, so he is going to be 5 months in a week. So perhaps I will have her catch them and try to breed them.
Hey everyone!
So my mother works in a greenhouse and found several of these hawk moths flying about and was wondering if my little thalin could eat them. And since I dont know, who better to ask than all of you lovely keepers on the forums!
So what do you guys think, could I feed my veiled...
I like to think he has settled in fairly well. And yes the picture of him peeking out of my hair is my absolute favorite image of him as of yet too! I love the look on his face as if he is saying 'What are you doing? pay attention to me!'
But I am so happy I was able to sneak the last little...
Thanks to the power of mobile apps I can now introduce all of you lovely people here on the forums to my great grand, Thalin! And I must say, he is sweet to the bone. Anyway I will post a thread on him later but here he is!
Thalin is a Luie and Camille great grand and as sweet as can be! He is also one of only two of the clutch here in Alaska. Thank you Dez and Jann for the bloodline that created my little man! Passed away by humane euthanasia at 8:40 am Mountain time May 2nd, 2016
Awe what a handsome boy! If it was super hard when you touched it though I would definitely say most likely a sperm plug. He will either drop it when rubbing his vent on plants or branches. But if not I remember seeing some of the members saying you could soak his vent in warm sugar water. That...
First I just want to say, LOVE LOVE LOVE his name :) big fan!
Anyway to answer your question my first thought is (since he is of that age) possibly a sperm plug. Nothing to really worry about. Or it could be a little left over shed. With the pictures you provided its kinda hard to see...
Yeah just let her settle in, but maybe add a few more plants fake or real to help give her more places to hide in (they like lots of foliage) and she should come around after awhile ;)
Welcome to the forums!
I am by no means an expert but I do read the forums quite excessively so hopefully my two cents will help out. Anyway since you only got her 5 days ago she may still be getting used to her new environment and you. But there may be other factors adding to the stress like...
Beautiful. Your photography is fabulous! Good sharpness all around but still some beautiful soft looking fur in the dog :) just...phew I hope I could compare someday :p
