Alot of damage may have been done in her past. The greatest gift is that from the time now til' her final day she will be at the best care her mind could have ever dreamed of. Thank you Jann!
I know this can be a slight inconvenience but even I have noticed it really helps if you can take your cage and/or plant out for some sun. Just for an hour or two a week would even help. I honestly do it about twice a week, just giving you my two cents. Hope this helps!:)
Definitely will be doing this if I notice the moisture drys out. Is there any good method to know when the medium dries out. Will my humidity be an issue?
Haha no. I have only seen the zoo med brand online. Most reptile shows and exotic stores in my town only have Mistkings which are pretty awesome but in my opinion a little too expensive($229 on LLL reptile). But to be honest, I may have to invest in one of these soon. I'm gone to work 7am-6pm...
Automatic misters look great but often wear out over time and cost hundreds of dollars to set up. Only reason I would ever go with an automatic sprayer is if my work or daily life schedule caused me to be out alot and I needed an extra hand. Other than that, go to a local home depot or Lowes and...
Thank you! And I certainly will go with linears next time around, I got these because I already had domes and they were offered at a cheap price at a past Repticon($10). I just couldn't afford a linear dome and a linear bulb at the time. heard its not so good in their eyes, but I use the Zoo Med...
yesss. I think I may try dubia's soon. It's just the whole roach thing kinda trips me out but im open to letting him try some. I may give him a few days and try reintroducing some crickets. Hornworms are like a couple per month when my local store has them.
Hello all, on the morning of December 9th around 8:00 a.m. my female began digging in her nesting box. By about 2pm she was completely done and back to basking after laying 34 eggs! So I mixed up some vermiculite into three tupperwears and pocketed each egg and poked a few holes. My humidity...
He certainly has his grumpy times. I maybe handle him 1-3 times per weeks and that's all. But other than that, he loves staying right under his basking spot with frequent mistings and hand feedings. He doesn't like crickets for some strange reason, only eats superworms and hornworms. But I...
Just this past June of 2016, I went to a well known Reptile shop here in Orlando called "Pet Bazaar"(very good store by the way). I originally went in for some plain ol crickets, mealworms and hornworms for my jacksons and stumbled upon a great collection of Veiled's they had. There were three...
Bump. I just need to know how to lower my hmidity from 99%. could my mix be too damp? I squeezed it thouroughly til a good clumpy feel as many threads have mentioned. Surely someone has had experience with this
Hello all, Ive been keeping various species of chameleons for over 10 years now and finally purchased my first adult female veiled at a Repticon event here in Orlando, FL this past December 3rd. She was gravid at the time and the vendor told me she was with a male so the eggs would be fertile...
