Looks very nice. Looks like bare copper wire in the image, that scares me... if you use wire like that, throw a bit of heat shrink over it... chameleons are like Murphy's law..... anything that can go wrong.....
Edit: oh... wait... lol.. looks like manzanita
id take a look at your supplement schedule..... calcium with d3 at every feeding... not really a good thing... recommended 2 times a month, plain phosphorus free calcium every feeding. (ill edit when i find a good supplement schedule)
Jon,
thank you for your reply. I do have an egg laying bin in her enclosure, when her new enclosure is completed, it will be built in with a tree, as Ive had great luck with females laying in planted pots.
To be honest, i was really excited to see she her color coming in, as my last female...
My female also started doing this maybe last week, or the week before.... then one day, she had a ton of yellow, and is starting to show a lot of teal...
take lots of pictures....
Id only use one at a time. you can put a different bulb in the fixture if you need more light. this thread https://www.chameleonforums.com/too-much-uvb-102216/
kinda goes through it a bit... can cause eye issues.
Hello,
i know some of the more experienced keepers recomend not using the compact fluorescent bulbs, as they have been known to cause eye issues. ive also read that they loose the uv sometimes after a month. Id suggest getting a walmart fluorescent fixture, usually 20 ish, and a linear uv bulb...
Hello and welcome to the forums.
just a few clarifying questions. you stated you have a 100watt uv bulb, and a 50 watt basking bulb... is the uv bulb a combo bulb? one with both heat and uv? how far from the cage is it? what is the temperature in the spot the chameleon would bask in...
