thanks everyone for the advice! @ matt i feel the same way cos i feel i get more stressed than my cham since i worry about holding him the wrong way & possibly hurting him or injuring his mouth! i think i'll stick with squirting the meds in his mouth while he's drinking water from the leaves...

since it's usually pretty hot year round here in LA, i don't find a need for a basking lamp at the moment. but if a basking lamp is enough for him to stay warm, then i'll go ahead and do that. i haven't had spinach for too long, so i appreciate the advice.

yea i've researched before and it said that the temp varies from 85 to 65 degrees farenheit. since it gets a lot cooler than 65 during the winter in my apt, i don't know what to use to keep him warm..:confused:

no i'm not sure what they fed them with..i guess i should ask from now on? and also i guess to be safe, i won't feed my cham the wax worms that have some of the dark colorings. :( i've been gut loading the wax worms with honey cereal cos i read on another place that's what is good for them.

since fall is coming soon and that means cooler temps, i've been thinking about how i'll be able to keep my fischer chameleon warm. he currently lives in a zoo med medium aluminum cage and i live in LA. although you wouldn't think of LA as being a cool place, it can get to about 50 degrees...

i recently bought a 50 count of wax worms from a reptile store and i noticed that some of them have darker coloration in different parts of their body. does this mean that they are dying or are unhealthy? and if so, should i keep from feeding them to my fischer chameleon?

yea, that was the first cage i got for him which was only 16x16x20 and i hadn't put any plants or anything in yet cos i had just brought him home :) (now i have a 16x16x30 so he has room to climb!) i am trying to find a lamp stand though..possibly one with three heads so it can have light in...
