Chameleon Info:
My chameleon is a 8 1/2 month old male ambilobe panther chameleon. Usually handle him every few days to bring him outside to bask. Lately I have been feeding him just super worms and horn worms ( about 5 horn and 2 super a day). I am gutloading the supers with carrots and the...
Hey guys so Mo, my 8 1/2 month old panther, has been doing good these last few months. These last few days he just sits there with his mouth half way open with the tip of his tongue sticking out slightly off and on through out the day. I thought he was hissing at me(starting his teenage attitude...
Maybe you've tried this already , but you could offer him a wax worm or other feeder worm dusted with calcium? Sometimes they'll eat them even when they're not feeling well. Also if you haven't done so already I suggest reading the care sheet thoroughly on this forum. Make sure you're...
I googled Mormon cricket, and they don't look like those. They're lighter with a black stripe, I couldn't find a similar image on line, but I will upload a picture of mine when I'm at home.
They don't seem to have spikes, but they seem to have really long antennas. And seem to have a harder appearance overall. They are from Bassett's cricket ranch in L.A. They state that they are a super cricket with twice the protein content. They look quite a bit different than what I'm used to...
Every time he eats one he seems uncertain. I tried to google it, but can't find any information. If anyone has ANY thoughts or input it would be greatly appreciated!
We just received 250 desert crickets in the mail, and they have really long antenai, when we fed one to our Cham he hesitated and held it in his mouth for about 20 Seconds before eating it. Are desert crickets the same as the standard. ? Are they safe?
What do you think of giving him Phoenix worms, and small super worms at his age? Are they okay on a daily basis?I was thinking of adding those also:)thxs
I'm trying to have an open mind about Dubia roaches , but the idea really creeps me out! I am not a fan of insects, but have made huge progress since my 14 year old daughter talked me into the Chameleon, and we have been caring for him together. I'm finally getting used to the crickets! I may...
Thanks for the info! I checked out coastal, and all if their silk worms are out of stock. So then I checked Mulberry and they aren't selling crickets right now. So I was thinking of buying silk worms and butter worms or horn worms from Mulberry. My panther chameleon is only 5 1/2 months or so...
Just needing advice on some good suppliers of mail order crickets and worms in the west coast area? I'm hoping to find a supplier with a variety of feeders like, silk worms, crickets, butter worms etc. thanks :)
Hey guys this is my panther chameleon Mo again and he is getting more and more colorful . I was unsure of his locale when I got him and was wondering if you guys had any guess on his locale. Also I think he is 5 1/2-6 months, but not sure of age either.
Any thoughts would be great! :)
Local?
He is very handsome! He has very similar colors to our five month old panther male. What is his locale? Trying to figure out what mine might be!:)
Hey guys so I have a 5 month old male panther chameleon and he has a large reptibreeze cage(18'x18'x36') and I have the cage cut off to make the cage smaller for him, do you guys think it is okay to just let him have full cage? I have a reptisun 5.0 strip light and a 60 watt everyday light bulb...
