Nope, sorry, I have no experience mixing species. That's just not something I would do. For their well-being, I believe that they should be with their own kind. :)
A second habitat is always the best solution. Years ago, I had ordered 1.4 brevs, but was sent 2.3 instead. My habitat was 36" long, but placed at opposite ends, the two males went straight for the middle for a show-down. For mental and physical health, the 2 species need their own space. :)
Dubia are not legal in FL. What would be the second choice? I ordered discoids a few years ago, thinking I could feed off the medium sized to my veiled. He wouldn't touch them. He was also leary of hornworms. :)
Oh, don't toss those big supers. I let them pupate, then feed those ugly, alien pupae to my juvvie veiled. He LOVES them, but I do have to get them to wiggle a bit to catch his interest. :)
I agree that having your own place will eventually be your answer. When my son was still at home, I always made the distinction between caged pets and uncaged pets. Also, people have preconceived notions of what a lizard is, and how it's kept. I find chameleons to be among the cleanest...
When I saw my first Nosy Be photos 4 years ago, I was awestruck at the shades of blue. When I finally obtained my Nosy Be this July, it was the first time I saw one, other than in photos. He's now 10 months old, and continues to grow more beautiful. What can I say? I like blue chameleons! :)
Good luck with that beautiful little baby. Please don't go back to that vet. I feel that my 4yr old veiled Cham died in March due to incorrect vet care and treatment. It was just too much guesswork as I look back on it, and he lost a client when I lost my boy.
I'm so sorry you're going through hard times, but your chameleon is in trouble, and needs help. The cage is way too small for proper development and exercise, possibly contributing to the constipation problem.
This isn't specific enough regarding calcium and calcium with D3, "Feeding - Mostly...
I have no experience with viridis, but I did have brevs for a couple years. I baked and scattered a nice layer of leaf litter in the terrarium which the little females seemed to appreciate, as well as some thickly planted areas. They're all adorable. Good luck with them. :)
