    Hanging Screen Enclosures

I would think it would be ok as a temp. cage until you can afford something better. We want to get the med. one for her backup when we need to clean or transport her. Our local reptile shop has a Male Veiled in a large one permanently and its very nice setup... but I agree, not sure how easy...

    How to set up lighting?

Ok, Karma's new cage is here and assembled. Hubby is making a back for it so we can attach her branch and the plant ring for the pothos to sit in... then we can put in the other plants, laying tub, vines, etc. It is the 24 x 24 x 48 screen from LLL. We also bought the 24 hood with 18...

    SO cool!!

It is usually around 50%. Right now since I just misted it and there is excess water from spraying longer than I usually do... its at 60%. My house is at 45% humidity. For her cage we have a hydrometer at the top and bottom to measure humidity. And she started doing that tilting her head...

    SO cool!!

Ok, we have had Karma 2 weeks basically. And OMG today was AWESOME! She was sitting in the front of cage(old one as new one is still being put together) and she has been in a pissy pants mood the last couple days, at least her colors are showing that.... so I went to check on her and decided...

ROFL!!! Yep, Karma gets stripes on her tail! And not pale stripes, she is nice and green all over but her tail looks like a racoons. Dark black stripes! Amazing what we Cham parents figure out!LOL

    Scooping poop?

I figured it was that. It didnt smell when we got her but it was dry as a bone when we got there. They didnt drip water, just sprayed with a travel hairspray size sprayer once in awhile. Her cage is yuck, the ficus was dry, the substrate was flyaway dry and the bottom was/is littered with dry...

    New cage arrived!!

Makes total sense! Thanks!:D I was thinking of installing a plant in the shower area anyways BEFORE we got Karma.... now I am thinking of installing it and have it on an adjustable chain so it can up at ceiling height most of the time but lower it for her when we need to use it! Hmmmm...

    Scooping poop?

OK, Karma's old cage STINKS. Part of that is because its plexi and enclosed. That will be fixed today with her new screen cage. And it was yuck when we got it and rather than stress her more, we decided to wait for new cage and just transfer her once. My question is, do you scoop the poop...

    New cage arrived!!

The shower part sounds good. Do you just turn the water on so it mists in there or do you have the water on them? I thought you werent to mist them directly, etc? Plus, then I could lock her in the bathroom vs. trying to lock up my crazy cat while she is out of her cage.

    Laying Tub for Female Veiled.

Awesome! Thanks! We are not planning on breeding her, but want to have a laying tub so she has a spot if needed and doesnt become egg bound.

    Laying Tub for Female Veiled.

Ok, I have a pot that matches the others we are using in her enclosure. Its 10 deep and 10 wide. We may be able to upgrade to a slightly larger pot that is like 12 x 12 once we get her new enclosure done. Several questions: 1) I have cleaned it(it was used) but should I bleach it(and...

    Poop Question!

We were told in the CL ad, 1 yr. but when the guy was talking to us he was thinking about it and felt it was closer to 18 months. He had her for 9-10 and she was almost an adult when he got her. I would go with 18 mo.
