Isolation...Fear...hatred...
I appreciate your comments. I disagree with the isolation theory I think him seeing me everyday creates cosistancy in his routine and feeding him by hand triggers his perception of me as a meal ticket. My other Cham is hand feed and last night he actually came down...
Yeah it all looked like it would be a fun project but once I started adding the cost of the corners in I quickly realized that the cost was going to be close to purchasing one built.
Thanks Julie yeah I really need more upper structure and will be adding much more in fact I created an upper track for him and he likes to take laps every now and again.
He went outside for 10 minutes today I think he liked it. I have not seen his stool yet but he has peed. Will keep looking...
Just picked up my second Chameleon and his name is Caliente! he is a Red Ambilobie Panther. I think his name is appropriate since he is a Spit Fire coined by his breeder Julie and a name she gave one of her females which I think is fitting for him also.
Here is a picture of Caliente...
Wow...$$
I thought of doing that but the cost savings seemed neglagable. How much did you spend to make it? I purchased my 2x2x4 cage for $70 online. Just curious.
I am in love with my new Chameleon he is a Red Ambilobe Panther and showing brilliant color at 7 months. I will post pictures later today. I picked him up from his breeder last night (Julie) and he is a SpitFire! hissing and bitting but I think it is only puberty and he will grow out of it. Have...
I picked up one from Wallmart -- a piece of foil works fine they are under 10 bucks and you really only need one bulb the reptisun is the best and one basking bulb. If you go dual I would have one UVB and one Basking florescent forget the growing light the plants do fine under those lighting...
I bought my mistking from Josh's Frogs...
I purchased my system from Josh's Frogs he is in the united states and you will save bigtime on shipping! I went with the three nozzle system and use two in my cage one in the rear and another up front.
This is great! Let's start a Chicago Cham group
It would be great to network with other Cham owners in the Chicago area so I was thinking mane the forum would allow us to set up a group. Any thoughts?
Thanks a bunch I am planning on collecting some dandelion leafs tonight and mixing them with collard greens and a couple of other things in the food processor as a wet gutload for the crickets. I should have the Cricket Crack sometime next week and will add that as a dry feed.
Thanks for the...
Diet...
I have been feeding him 5 crickets in the morning and 5 at night I dust them with a vitamin without D in it everyday I also feed him Wax Worms and Super worms this Stool would have Super Worm's in it.
In the future I plan on using cricket crack along with a veggie mix to gut load...
