    Meet Dom

Well my veiled chameleon arrived this morning. Dom is a 4 month old male, that I received from FlChams. He looks great and is exploring his new cage. He's been drinking, and he's ate 2 crickets so far. And he already pooped. The poop looked very healthy and it doesn't look like he got too...

    Finally got my cage setup

I'll be getting a veiled chameleon from FlChams.... Very good assumption Jay. I was at Wal-Mart tonight and saw the fern so I bought it. Maybe I'll look around at Home Depot or the nursery to see if I can find a nice ficus tree for my cage.

    Finally got my cage setup

The only problem is that my cage is setting on my dresser and its only 6-8 inches away from my ceiling so I can't really raise it up any higher. But I'll have to check out the drainage ideas. Thanks Edit: I don't have a humidity meter.

    Finally got my cage setup

I have a live Boston Fern in there. FLChams says that the Boston Fern is a safe plant http://flchams.com/safe_plant_list.asp I've been watching the temperatures and they've been steady around 83-84 degrees for his basking spot. That dish in the bottom is to catch the water from my dripper...

    Picking a Name

Well early this week I will be getting my cage, and then I'll pick up my veiled chameleon. The only problem I seem to have at the moment is picking out a name. I kind of like the names: Bud, Malachi, Dominion. But I just can't decide. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some...

    Homemade Dripper?

I was wondering how people made their own drippers? I don't really have a lot of money, I just bought a cage, and all the supply's but I didn't buy a dripper. My question is can I make a dripper from a waterbottle or a gatorade bottle?

Looking To Get My First Chameleon

I too am going to be a first time chameleon owner. I've been looking at cages online, and I came across this package. It's a little more expensive than the others, but it comes with a lot of essentials. Just wondered what people thought of this package. Its the medium package. Sorry I don't want...

Thanks for the links. For cages do I need to start off with a smaller cage, and then get a bigger one when my chameleon grows? Or will a baby veiled be fine in a large cage?
