    question about my veil

Have you found a vet yet? That is an advanced case of MBD. He's not acting properly at all anymore. If his legs, ribs etc are not broken yet, they might end up breaking because his bones are too brittle & it can cause organ damage. You need to get him to the VET ASAP that has experience...

I think 90F is good. Wow it's colder over where you are. My temps in the living room say 86F.. No wonder I'm sweating

I don't think I understand.. So you got him from a local breeder & the breeder keeps the ambient temps at around 78-80F? What's the size of the enclosure he's in?

    veiled not eating!HELP!!!

Hunger Strike? Yes you really have to get rid of the tank. It's too small for a 16 month old veiled. Some good reading here: http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/

    Chameleon for the heat

Hahaha, all that & you could not even get a verrucosus either :D. Yeah I should have asked where you were located. You know you can update your profile and add your location. I think you click on your username on the top upper right hand corner of the screen & input location.

    Chameleon for the heat

Yup, beardies are pretty good. You can hold em, soak em, sun em.. Very hardy and perfect for your basement! You can even put them in aquarium tanks..

    Chameleon for the heat

What do you mean? In Linda Davison's book it says they do well in captivity but do not like to be handled much. Prefers a temp range of 50-100F.

    Chameleon for the heat

Yes I did read that part that's why I said I don't know if he can keep this cham in a cage in the basement because of the issue with no air flow Where do you see 50F? It says a 10-15 degree drop at night is recommended. I don't think 50F is freezing. It was just 54F here 2-3 weeks...

    Chameleon for the heat

I'd suggest a bearded dragon instead. They take the heat pretty well, they don't need humidity & they're quite funny with the hand waving gestures & head bobbing. But if you insist, you might want to check out a verrucosus. Here's a link...
