A lot of these enc's are pretty elaborate and actually look like they are really hard to clean on a daily basis. How do you guys keep these things clean? What if you found parasites, what do you do with all of the current furniture?
How do I clean these fake vines?
I want to start putting these in the enclosure i'm working on and I don't think I should be washing these, I just washed a 1/2" wooden pole and I think I ruined it because it absorbed the soap :(
Yeah it is, I've been using the same digital point-and-shoot for years and have been itching to get an SLR for a while. I finally took the jump (today actually) and ordered the Nikon D5000, not as advanced as the D90 but still seems like a great camera for and SLR newb.
This is also a great...
I like it because i can get the enclosure good and wet without with a small amount of water. My enclosure already has a habba mist system that goes off every three hours. I got this thing just to be a softer mister for the initial warm morning shower I give trogdor in the morning.
The girlfriend and I adventured through a Bass Pro Shop for the first time and I ran across this little personal mister.
Misty Mate 2.5
I got it for $11 bucks and I really like this thing. the pressure/water lasts forevers and the mist is extremely fine. This is gonna replace my daily...
I went back in today and the poor little guy is still there. It doesn't look like his external conditions are getting any worse. His enc is filthy pretty much all the basking leaves were covered in poop.
I want to rescue him very bad,, I know I shouldn't. I would have to get the other setup...
Wow, didn't mean for this to become a debate about feeding, but right on! I actually feed trogdor about 15-20 medium crickets a day and I think he is too skinny.
I want to build two short-term (about 3-4 months) cage stands this weekend and I was thinking about going the melamine route since a friend of mine has some he isn't using. I have the edge liners to cover the exposed (cut) edges. Will the moisture pose a problem?

I love my guy but his aggression makes it really hard to do things like taking him outside to bask or getting him out to clean. I dread having to take him out because it's like knock-down, drag-out battle.
I like nick's idea about starting with an older cham that...
we were seeing a couple of dark days, right now i'm worried that because the amounts weren't perfect and we skipped a day we are going to have to restart because he won't be clear.
we'll see with his next fecal.
