Its not nearly as outrageous as you make it out to be mate. Its a discussion.
I get frustrated when people start saying things that they really have little knowledge about.
However as long as you both know and expect to make little money ... I would say less than it costs to breed and...
Im kind of confused by your entire post. I never assumed you never owned a chameleon before, I was going by your most recent post about skittles and such. Also your signature only listed two morph panthers. However I never "assumed" that you did not have any chameleons before.
The "you may be...
Just saying that if you "loved the species" you wouldn't express it by screwing with the locals and saying it was to inspire the public. I would suggest using your enthusiasm and starting with a pure panther. Moving forwards into mixes as the time sees fit.
As for breeding, mate I really...
As you can see, I edited to be speaking to chamfreak. Sorry for the mixup, no the second half was not aimed at you at all. Though I think it is worth consideration.
And I have yet to see one on the road  However I see a Porsche or two everyday. Just saying - as this is really in no way relevant to the topic.

Mixing chameleons, you still know you are limited to a variety of options. Pure breeds still limit you - its essentially the same thing
Mix a Sambava and a Nosy Be - so you might get a chameleon thats blue with red or orange baring when flared...
From what I saw at the Glance, all the chameleons are hybrids - from pure parents. Of course there is the one that is 12% nosy be 24% Sambava 30% Ambilobe and yada yada.... but the point was the quote said Males would be sterile - not females. Its perfectly possible that they took a 50/50%...
Im not sure how true it is... but I will give you all the information you will need to verify my source.

That supplement is to be used twice a month on adult chameleons living indoors, and once a week on young baby- juvi chameleons. It goes to twice a month at around 5 months of age.
If your giving the that every day, likely your going to start overdosing. That can be the cause of your current...
