Regardless if he is blue bar or red he is a handsome young cham. I asked myself the same question when all three of my panthers were babies and yeah they look that way. I have 2 red bar and one blue bar and when I compare the photos of when they were young the looked almost identical. Well in...
I have seen members on the forums sell Dubia Colonies. Is anyone out there interested in selling one? I'm feeding 4 adult chams now so whatever would work for that. Thank you in advance.
Yes you can use foam. I used foam sheets from Home Depot and carved out some designs in it then coated it with tile grout and then clear coated it. I actually posted a build of it if you look in my profile. It is cheap and easy to do. Just takes time and patients.
Are you sure it was from the stress? A lot of times Chameleons will turn almost black to absorb more heat. It could have been the temperature and he was just trying to absorb the UVB's up from the natural sunlight. I know I do not have much foliage in my outdoor enclosure and they do just fine...
I would highly recommend you read about them. There are several pieces of literature that will give you everything you need. It is a learning experience with them both. I have both Jacksons and Veilds along with different Panthers. My own personal favorite is the Jacksons. In my opinion and this...
More ventilation. Just a bunch of random holes will not be good enough from what I have heard and read. I am running 2 solid side and 2 screened sides. This allows plenty of ventilation and still able to maintain the humidity. I has seen a pretty cool set up like that one but the owner was...
VET STAT!!!
Maybe throw in a dripper to help motivate drinking until the vet. And get a bigger enclosure. Or make one. That is the smallest enclosure I have ever heard of. I honestly wouldnt even put babies in a cage that small.
I have never heard of that before. It could be mis-diagnose from the doc's. I am not to sure. But in answer to your original question is horn worms. Even my picky eaters are all over horn worms. When I cant get them to eat that is my trick.
In almost every piece of literature I have read we go by the code "the bigger the better". They did not offer sizes that I wanted so I built my own. There are plenty of threads on here to show you how to build them. They are pretty easy and less expensive in my opinnion. My male Veiled has an...
Mine was an obsession since I was a teenager. Knew nothing about them and could not afford them so I made the smart move to not aquire any. Then, it all started when I went to a local petstore and had seen a felmale/male jackson. I now have 5 chameleons total, I breed my own food (crickets...
Welcome to the Forums. What a great looking Cham you have. The set up looks great as well. Everyone will have their own .02 on set-ups and what they like and dislike. I have had chameleons for 4 years now and I still love to do the trial and error. I am on like my 7th different feeder cup...
What is that made out of? Is it MDF board or real wood? Regardless the key to using wooden enclosures is sealing it. I have about 10 coats of clear sealer on all my wooden enclosures so the wood doesnt rott or get mold. That is a nice and tall structure so whatever chameleon you put in there I...
Well let me tell you that you are not the only one that has dealt with this issue before. I have three terrors that roam the house like they own it. Ok maybe they do. So what worked for me is spray bottles. I had them all over the house. After they got squirted a few times they learned quickly...
Yes those guys help out ALOT with cleaning your cricket enclosure. I used to clean them out all the time but when I started leaving them in there the smell went down and overall cleanliness was better. However, if the flyers try and get out I swat them because I do not want them flying around...
