I am pretty sure the general cause of a bend (or big curl) is MBD (metabolic bone disease) which is probably due to the chameleon not being fed properly (poor nutrients / gutloads for feeders) or due to it being raised with out a UVB bulb.

What the people on this thread are trying to say is, Pet stores sell products that claim to be good for chameleons, but that isn't always the case. I know along with everyone else here that you would never intentionally harm your chameleon. But, some of your methods of keeping are a little off...

I literally had to tell the lady one the phone, "YOU ARE GOING TO BAKE MY ANIMALS!!!" That was the third time we called, and she miraculousy was able to get ahold of the driver in less than 3 min after that call. It was a stressful day for us, BUT the wait was worth it!! They are GORGEOUS!!!
