Update!!!!!! Hera finished laying her eggs about 30 min ago. She laid a total of 14 eggs. :eek: and she is such a small girl!!!! She looks tired and weak. I offered food and misted her cage. She drank up some water and may have eaten a cricket or two. I'm am very worried about her still, but I...

Her laying bin has a mix of play sand and organic soil... I suppose she could lay in her plant's soil if she chooses. I peeked in and she was deep into a hole in her laying bin. (Which is a large bucket)

The laying is medium damp... She should be able to tunnel to the bottom or in a spiral or however she pleases without it collapsing on her.

Honestly breed rarely has anything to do with the temperament or brains of the dog. My parents have two teacups and they are complete opposites of each other. No to mention standard poodles used to be bred to hunt so they really aren't stupid or bounding messes. Poodles are actually really good...
