T8's are fine - you can get Arcadia lights in a T8 also - I'm pretty sure it's a more that T5's use less electricity and give off more light - You would have to ask Todd to be sure- He'd probably would tell you the difference even if you ended up not buying from him, but as far as lighting goes...
