Not much at all. Maybe she needs to settle in a little more(?). I am interested to see how she webs. It would be cool to see some web up at the top of the manzanita branches. I hope that she won't web too much on the glass or the plants.
Thanks!
I just reformatted that last picture quick...
This is a recent shot of the 37G Forest Floor planted viv with Avicularia tarantula and names for all of the plants. I have some unusual collector plants in there.
Extra Plants for Sale
I have a few various extra plants here for sale. Some of these are chameleon compatible, others are not. Most of them are good selections for growing in a humid viv. They are mainly uncommon plants that you probably won't find for sale as houseplants.
Small-growing...
Thanks so much! I wanted to make this look like a real woodland scene. The glass thing is an antique telegraph line insulator. We used to find those out in the woods on the rusty old downed lines next to the train track. The glass insulator is the frog's favorite place to hang out.
Thanks!
It's not too hard to grow those little epiphytes. They just need humidity + light + air circulation. I mist it a couple times a day with RO water.
Yeah they may be more costly, but I like the way glass enclosures look a lot better.
Yes depending upon what kind of animal it is the Forest Floor setup are probably less advised for breeding most things and better instead to use just for display setups. I am trying to find a way to seal that...
Here is what the whole top of my 37G looks like. The drop-in feature, console and screen or glass would go together the same for an Exo Terra and just drop into the groove around the top plastic frame.
I actually attached a piece of glass to the screen frame with some strong double-adhesive...
Yep I'm sorry it goes into the same spot where the Exo screen top goes. Most of my setups are high-humidity, so I cover the space in front with a piece of plate glass.
For a chameleon enclosure a screen top might be better and I can make a rectangular framed aluminum screen to cover the rest...
What kinds of enclosures are you getting? If they are like Protean terrariums they won't work the same with the drop-in features because that plastic plate fits into the enclosure top plastic rim of the kind used for fish tanks and Exo Terras. There are probably other ways to put it together...
The plastic plate just fits right into the grooves in the plastic top frame. The console panel can go either in front of or behind the larger sheet with the branches, then a piece of plate glass covers the rest of the space in the front. If you want a screen top I can also make a frame with...
