I wouldn't do it!!! Is it worth the chance that it might be a problem? If you don't know for sure, why risk the health of your Cham? I'd take the plant out, treat it, and give it time to dry out, air out... then put it back in your Cham's cage. Get him a fake tree for a while.

Do you have a window (to the outside) in the room that your chams will be in? Put the MistKing system right outside the window, use a large BLACK (NEW) garbage can with a lid as your water tank, and run your tubing in through the window... Saves tons of space and its east to run a single water...
