I have Veileds and Panthers, and they stay outside year-round. Now that it is getting cold -- Once the sun goes over the horizon, I tent their cages all together (3 feet apart) with 6 mil clear plastic sheeting and put a little rotating space heater in the center. It stays a lovely 60-65...
Yeah, I was devastated. I wanted to try to save her, but her Vet convinced me she wouldn't do well with her injuries... We put her to sleep and saved her eggs (just in case).
Yes! Now, I am ecstatic!!! Hoping the others survived as well. I am going to surprise Dr. Molnar with one as a gift.
This is the first of a small clutch that was saved by Dr. Molnar after my precious Isabelle was savagely attached by a bird while sunning upside down in her outdoor cage... (I have since learned about bird-netting, which keeps everyone else safe!)
I have 12 good looking eggs to go! :)
And...
I can't stop looking at this tiny creature! :D OM Goodness - I am in AWE!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!
May 2010 bring health and happiness to all who visit here...

The craftmanship of the cage is awesome... BUT - WHAT!?! No LIVE plants??? Not even one Ficus? You will hold your humidity much better if you use live plants... and since you have great drainage, why not!?
Again, great work on the cage! I, also, love the way you were willing to...
Chameleons can't hear???
How come when I shake their feeders in the cup my chams come to the side of the habitat that I am on to eat? Have they just become conditioned to "watch" for the feeder cups in my hand? I have always thought it was the noise of the shaking cup that attracts them...
 PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
Do not put a Panther Chameleon in a glass tank/terrarium... They need ventilation. And they need height. Get a screened cage. Or build one. Also, read the posts on this forum. You will find a wealth of information here...
Panther Chams are wonderful...
That's Annie? That cham in the picture looks like a male to me... No?
I am so comfused... None of my girls look like that, except I do have one girl who has quite a bit more yellow splotches...
It's those colors! WOW! My females don't have that banding...
