I've got the book at the end!!! :D
It's really good and well done.. it's full of images and a lots of sheets about all the common species.. it's a new cham's bible!!! ;)
Benny how was the fair? did you make lots of pics right? i'll wait your reportage!!
Unfortunately i can't be there this time.. so Ben you need to make a great reportage!! lots of pics!! ;)
Woooo i've been waiting that book from a long time!!! it seems to be great!!! i will ask to a friend of mine to take one for me.. :D
Benny and Tom thanks for your reply!! i've never heard of this problem of aggressive.. the terrarium is divided in 2 anyway and i can create a terrarium for gravid females or for emergency!! but also 2 females kept together could have these problems??
I'm gonna use just a 5% uvb neon.. i will...
I've always read to give a difference of temp between day and night.. it helps to have stronger babies.. also on Necas book is written to do like this!!
Thanks a lot anyway!! ;)
If you bought a Rudis chameleon (or maybe a sternfeldi) you don't have to use spot lights.. they tend to stay under the spot all the day and it will bad for him self.. you need just the 5% uvb lamp!! which temperatures do you have in the room anyway??
I've just collected 18 eggs from my quadricornis female and i'm so excited!!! :D
now i'll incubate at 18-19°C for the night and 22-23°C for the day with a ratio of water and vermiculite of 1:1.. i hope to have success with them!! i still can't believe it..:p
Really nice both pfeffers!!! Chris your female is very similar to a montium one!! ;)
@Monties: how many watt is the spot you use for him?? i won't use any spot for these montain species.. almost for my montium and quadricornis i don't use any!!
In the wild they use jumps like these to avoid predators.. it's also a bad characteristic, for heart's keepers, of other Trioceros like quadricornis and montium!!
Don't try this in captivity!!! :(
Thanks guys.. i'll write an mp to lizardlover and chamelisa for sure!!;)
Searching in the forum i've found just this about acuminatus cages.. https://www.chameleonforums.com/my-r-acuminatus-set-ups-36137/
and this on spinosus.. https://www.chameleonforums.com/spinosus-13080/
Ben do you mean...
I was wondering to keep some of these pygmy chams and i'm searching some images of their cages.. did everyone have some pics to show me of their cages? i'm thinking to use an old acquarium of 122x33x42h cm and i'd like to know if it's ok for 1.2 or at least a pair of these chams..
