Yeah one of the things you need to think about when you buy a cham is "am I gonna have a reliable person taking care of my chams when Im gone?" Really the only other way is if you have an automatic mister, that would take care of the hydrating part obviously. But you still need the feeding part...

Dont worry, mine does that sometimes. Usually they free themselves but other times they dont. If your cham is healthy and showing regular colors then you have nothing to worry about
