I would not keep it wet like the other person said. No need to put KY or mist the baby directly. As was said, they can sit like this for a while. Keep it in the container until its up and walking. It may still keep the sac after up and about but just keep the enclosure nice and humid and it will...
I am willing to part with one of my captive bred K. matschiei at this time. I will not guarantee sex but I believe I have two males. Both have been in my care for almost a year and are doing great. This species has rarely been bred in captivity. There are a few other unrelated animals out there...
You know, Ive been told that many of times;) Good or bad, Ill take it:D
Those are definitely some nice looking snakes but I want more pics of those montium!
You can always catch one, put it in the freezer for a little while but not too long, slow it down, pull out the stinger and then feed it off. This would get rid of any risk and I guarantee he would go crazy for them!
Ive heard very few cases of chams being hurt by bees but there are some. They eat them in the wild and I have seen some of the animals I have kept go crazy for bees, wasps, etc. The panthers I owned absolutely loved them and would eat them all the time with no problems. My smaller species would...
Im not opposed to exporting farm raised animals or even super low numbers of other species. Though, I doubt most of the farm raised animals are actually farm raised. Have you seen the condition a lot of those come in? I doubt the corruption will get any better either. Ive just been thinking much...
Good news for people who want to keep species from there bad news for the chams. I doubt it will be any better than before. I hope they keep the exporting shut down.
They arent the largest. K. matschiei (Giant Fischers or Monkey Tail Fischers) are. K. multituberculata (Standard Fischers) are in the middle while K. boehmei and tavetana (dwarf fischers) are the smaller of the complex.
They would be fine in that size cage.

Here is a really good article on K. multituberculata. If this isnt the species you have care is the same for the other Fischers species besides cage size.
Thats what Im thnking.
Al, thats about the size females horns will get.
Tod, you may have two males. I cant really decide on the first pic. Look for that "indent" that Ponders' has. Thats the only thing Ive been able to find to sex them with.
You should be able to tell by the hemipenal bulge at hatching if you know what you are looking for. I use coloration to help also but I dont think sexing by the gular region is accurate.
I think yours is a female. Do you notice the indent at the tail base? My female has had this since I got her at a TINY size while the male never had. The male is clearly a male now and is starting to get a bulge instead of just having a slightly fuller tail base. Plus the horns on my male are...
Second pic male. The first one Im even more up in the air than the second though. They really are hard to sex. Full grown males dont even have much of a bulge but the tail base is thicker. Ive scoured the internet for every picture I could find of them to try and get a better idea on the...
