Lets see pics of your cage to better see what youre talking about. I use superworms to get my cham out. He will come to the front of the cage, being careful not to go out of it, and then I put my arm out slow as if it were another branch for him to get to the superworm and he will slowly inch...
Ok so I just realized I have a Rose of Sharon Tree that would be great for my male veiled to free range in. It is a type of hibiscus "Hibiscus Syriacus" to be exact.I have not seen this on any lists at all so far as toxicity is concerned.Does anyone know about this:confused:
Very sad indeed. My heart goes out to his family. Its so painful to watch a loved one suffer and hes been suffering for quite some time.So I hope their hearts can be at ease knowing hes no longer suffering. Just watched my mom go through chemo and radiation for breast cancer and it was the...
Yeah I bet it sucks to live in Florida... NOT!!I wish I lived there. Its actually been pretty nice here lately. So better to be in the shade than the sun huh? Glad you said that cause I was figuring in the sun wouldve been better. Thanks jann you never let me down.Lol
So I m about to take my adult male veiled outside for the first time since I got him. So the temps in St Louis are about low 80's for a high. So I guess my question is how long is it ok to keep him outside without a warmer basking spot? Does it have to be a sunny day?
Im using a 100W basking bulb for now cause thats what I bought.Waiting on therm/hygr to get here in mail. Not sure of my exact temps yet but I can hold my hand under the bulb for a few minutes w/out it burning so it should be far enough away to prevent thermal burns.Cant wait to take temps...
Looks good but Yeah I think you should get the foliage higher up. Remember theyre aboreal so they want to be up high and have a place to hide and feel safe. I would elevate the whole cage as well.I put 15in legs on mine and its already 5' wout legs.
I used hook and eyes . I used one at the top side of door and bottom side of the door.If you are not sure what these are pm me and I will take pic and send it to you.Very cheap and super easy to do.
Is this sufficient means of gutloading? Or do I have to use the greens and fruits as well? So far just been using the Flukers. Just getting started its difficult to acquire everything at the same time.
The reptisun 5.0 is only $21.99 at Petco and $38.99 at Petsmart not sure why theres such a big gap between the 2 stores. At any rate $21.99 and no shipping is still cheaper than $26.00.
Yeah I think hes just amazing!!! Thinkin of changing his name though. Maybe Dino or Chamikaze,I like that one cause when its time to eat hes just dropping down that cage and not even lookin where hes stepping. Crazy little guy he is.Lol
