I don't think I would recommend any "unneeded" stuff for your chameleon because they are just that. If you want to spend some money to make your cham happy, get good food, supplements, and lights. Put some coin away for a vet visit in case something ever goes south. My 2 cents. Oh and plants...
Figured I'd start looking now for some chameleons I want for Spring/early Summer. I would prefer to get these from a single importer in or near the GTA. The species I need are:
1. Tanzania:
K. Tavetana (M)(F)
T. Werneri (F)
T. Jacksonii Merumontanus (F)
2. Cameroon:
T. Montium (F)(F)

Wait till dark and go out with a flashlight. Look in the bushes and trees, the chameleon should be on a branch near the outside of the tree where the branches thin out. It wouldn't have gone far as I have lost a veild outside for three months and found her about 10 feet from where she got lost...
I think it's an RI. Crackling noise and bubbles points to that. Does he stand around gaping as well? How long have you had him? As it could be something that happened before you bought it. If there is still a health guarantee, I would advise you to take a different chameleon. This guy will most...
He very well could be. The guy I got him from was kinda sketchy. I would not be surprised either way. If you look at one of my very first posts here, there's a picture of another male that was sold as a Sambava that I'm almost certain is an Ambilobe. I have seen bars change on panthers though...
Nope, I just pluck them out and just feed them. As I've said before though, this is a risk I do take based on my unque situation where I live near a population that has been tried and tested. Even then I won't be surprised if something went wrong one day. I also don't feed wild caught feeders...
