I'd also say its a boy. In my experience, if the coloration leans towards stripes, its a boy, if spots, its a girl. Tough when they are that small, but should be a boy. Either way, congrates! Boy or girl u'll love em!
I expect that its big enough since it is about a third of her 2'x2'x4' cage. Plus I don't think it could be much bigger :(. I might try just placing her in the tub to see if she gets goin, but I havent worked with her much so she might start haulin away from me. An idea my friend came up with is...
Hey guys! Another question for ya,
If you have followed my old posts, you will know my female is pregos. She has been finally zipping up and down her cage and all over the ground looking for a place to lay. She has a large tub at the base of her tree inside her cage with a branch leading into...
Thx Suzi! Been good, just busy :/. Ya, shes been up and down her cage a bit, but only to her 3 regular spots. It's pretty tough to determine just cause she lays down and fattens up, but moves and gets skinnier haha. Yes, she's got about 6 inches of dirt in a large tub at the bottom of her cage...
My girl panther was mated about 3 weeks ago, and she hasn't been eating. I usually feed her every other day, about 6 crickets or superworms since she goes back and forth, but for the past week or so she will eat only one of her given food and decline the rest. She drinks well and her feces are...
So my boy's been really zippy since I mated him with my girl, and I have minimally held the pair since I got them. I wanted to start handling the boy at least a little so he can sit in his tree happily without trying to scale the screen wall for the sixteenth time (and not fall 3 feet for the...
U've always been the one to help me out Sean, but I'd agree male. What you said about the coloring is exactly what I usually say, since its been pretty accurate for me.
So a few days ago I tried introducting Costello to Abby's cage, and Abby would have none of it, and Costello for whatever reason didn't seem too interested in her. Due to suggestions, today I tried putting Abby in Costello's cage. She got very ticked at me holding her as I expected, but after...
Welcome! I joined just last month, and as a fellow new member, I must agree with everyone here. This place is a living encyclopedia on chameleons, and ANNNNYTHING AT ALL you could be inquiring about is either in the archives or can be answered by a ton of chameleon owners. I've learned too much...
I wish I could take mine out :/ Tempe Arizona is definitely not 80 degrees and 35% humidity. More like 100 degrees and 5% lol. Plus all the plants and birds outside would not be too kind to them :(
1.Chameleons can change colors, but only to colors that they are born with. Basically, they have a single, vibrant pattern that is their best show. This is shown when aggravated or possibly mating opportunity (males). Depending on temperature and mood, they can alter to become darker or more...
I'll try her in his cage. I read that you should put the more active one in the more territorial one's cage. Basically an outgoing person visits a couch potato's house, instead of forcing a couch potato to a strange domain :P Especially when the attractive other sex is involved.
But ya, I'll...
So I was a little worried my female may be gravid with duds since my male and female saw each other a bit ago. Today I put my male in my female's cage and I don't think she was very happy. She curled up real tight, tail rolled, got really dark and presented dark rings. I put him back, and shes...
haha, i sound like odd one out but my gf just recently lost abou 1 1/2 dozen after they chewed through her thick bag and we just got Home Defense Max Spray and it has done a great job killing the escapees (roommates HATE crickets). I use it in my room against ants and my python, chameleons, and...
