Crack-Jacksons!
Oh man, you're addicted now. (you'll end up at a Meller-one clinic in no time)
See, nothing to worry about that a little love and care can't take care of.
They are beautiful (Now you've got me considering full size Jacksons. Thanks.)
Don't take your eyes off them...
Haven't had experience with the Repti-fogger, but for the price I'd go for a cool mist humidifier.
I actually have 2 of these outfitted with pvc pipes over the top of my cages. They fit right into the humidifier when you take the "eyes" off. Get an elbow joint, drill a few holes, and up your...
Love to see pics of them when they are less stressed Amanda. Any chance they are Dwarf Meru Jacksons? (that might explain the small size)
Try not to panic, you're going to do great.
Don't forget these are live-bearing chameleons, so you don't need a laying bin.
Feel free to PM me if you have...
More than likely she will soon "explode" into a shed, and all will be well! Keep us posted, and try and get a nice photo or 2 when it happens. Don't worry about over-reacting, most of us wish at one time or another WE had "jumped the gun" and saved our chams some hardship.
There are no stupid...
Hi Lizgentry.
Besides the compact florescent problem which has been addressed, that 15 watt really shouldn't be IN the cage (1. danger of burns even with low wattage and 2. confuses the chameleon. light should mimic the sun and come from ABOVE.);)
Also you may consider getting a screen cage...
Hey DJ ...
You might consider getting a Repti Sun (Repti Glo if you can't find the Sun) bulb. Checked the stats of the slim-line light and it won't cut it in the big cage. (all the cool kids use Repti Sun)
Go to Zellers and you can find digital hum/therm for about 10 bucks...
I checked out the stats of the basking bulb you mentioned and here they are.
Distance From Bulb
Bulb Wattage 6" 12" 18"
60 Watt 120° F (48.9° C) 101° F (38.3° C) 89° F (48.9° C)
100 Watt N/R N/R 106° F (41.1° C)

Nope, just means since Aug 08 you have made 963 posts! (Us REAL old guys don't have that kind of TIME on our hands.)
Experience and helpfulness on the forum is the implication I guess.
Congrats!
Sweet little Veiled! (go ahead and use the link I gave you);)
Looks like you have thought things out yet are flexible enough to accept experiential advice. (the ULTIMATE combination)
Coated walls will be cool! As for the fans ... if you make a couple of reasonable sized screened vents on the...
Welcome to the forum DJ!
Sounds like a fun project. What kind of chameleon is your little girl?
If she's Veiled (even if not the info is great) you will benefit from checking out Brad Ramsey's website http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/
Please, lots of pics of your baby...
I assume your "door" will be the lid. Might be a bit awkward at times (cleaning, feeding etc) but is super clean looking. What age Senegal are you going to house in it? Will the lighting etc be suspended above? Can't tell the scale, but it looks a tad narrow. Great for a young'in!:D
Two years ago this past January it started as an uneducated pet/present for my son's 16th birthday, and turned into a burgeoning addiction for me! My place is starting to look like Julirs dining room or Brad's chameleon room (and our whole flat sounds like a campground with the breeding...
