I find that if you bring the chameleon above your eye level, they tend to calm down a bit. This may be unique to my experience, but never the less has worked over the years with some Evel Knievel chams of mine.
Your best option may be to invest in some nice Cham friendly live plants to put in your viv. They tend to naturally bring up the humidity. Get some good gauges at any pet store. Proper gauges will help create ideal climate control. Is there a decent drainage area on the bottom of the cage?..im...
