no, not really alot of spots, mostly just an all around pink hue, with the blue mixed in. but when he gets fired up hes black white and pink for now

im not sure about the wound, but you should try a cup thats not clear, and he'll eventually look in it, until then he'll probably keep shooting at the sides of the clear cup thinking he can get them that way :) kinda like the whole birds flying into glass thing..... hehe

wild caught insects can also have pesticides on them. i know they just sprayed our town with pesticide for our mosquito problem, so that could really land on any insect. and any of your neighbors could have sprayed fertilizer or weed killer on their lawns, etc.....
