Fecals are actually very easy but arent always conclusive. It is good to run a bunch of tests in a period of time since there is a decent amount of human error involoved. To run a good fecal all you need is a good microscope and the dye they use to stain the fecal with to see any parasites.
I would say the petstores definition of medium should be fine for the next couple of months. Just make sure to gutload them well. For the silkies id would get small or small medium mix so some can grow
Just feed the supers the same stuff you feed crickets/dubia or whatever else you use. I feed them collards, kale, endive, mustard greens, ect and they eat it really easily. I wouldnt feed dead silkworms they could have osmething wrong witht them.
I make my own very simple dry gutload and I usually put some fluckers in there as a base for the mix but if you can get the cricket crack I would. I just got some other things and mixed them with the fluckers to improve on it a little but thats less than half the gutload I offer id stick to...
I think they are a good idea and for use like you have them outside for awhile but for long term I wouldnt suggest them. They are fabric so after awhile alot of bacteria builds up from the moisture. They would work good for awhile but I would make a cage. If you dont care how it looks you can...
